My God is an Awesome God!

We've had a few rough weeks, pay wise. I took a week long vacation, but only had 2 vacation days left, so I got a 2 day paycheck. Then I didn't get paid for the 4th of July because the production floor is working 4 10 hour days and they had their 40 hours in by Thursday, so the company decided that they didn't need to pay the others who still have to work 5 8 hour days to get their 40 hours (like me). SO I got a 4 day paycheck that week. Then I was laid off for a week (-$80 from my normal check amount) and Mark is laid off for 2 weeks (-$55 a week), so needless to say we are flat broke. Not to mention the aztek needs 2 new wheel barrings ($168 each). I have a spreadsheet that I use to keep track of our monthly bills and weekly paychecks. After figuring out how many bills we have left and how many checks we have left we were going to be $327 in the hole. So I prayed to God to help us financially. To help us be good stewards of the money He gives us. Well, guess what? For the first time in the 9 years I have worked at our company we received a bonus check to our very shocked suprised. Can you guess how much it was for? Okay, it wasn't for $327. It was for $323. $4 short. But guess what I found in the dryer? $4. Now, how awesome is my God! Oh, since we both worked for the same company that means we got 2...so God also provided the funds to fix the Aztek. Praise God!!!!!!!

Is the Bible true?

I've been watching a few documentaries the last few days on the Bible and end time prophecy. It is amazing how accurate the prophecies are in the bible. You can't deny it's truth once you search out the prophecies. One of God's evidence of the bible being His word is the nation of Israel. Israel has been scattered all over the earth (as predicted in the bible) for 2000 years and have been the one and only nationality to be able to hold on to it's national identity. No other nation has been able to do that for more than 300 years without a homeland. Israel went 2000 years without a homeland and has been able to hold on to it's nationality. That right there is proof. And now they are heading home to the land God has promised them (also predicted in the bible) and restoring their homeland just as God has predicted in His word. I am just astonished when I watch these prophecies and see living proof of God's word. Not only does it astonish me, but it also empowers me and builds my confidnce as to say that "Yes! My God is the one and only God! The true and living God! All other god's are false!" And I will stand by that statment NO MATTER WHAT! You have to watch this video!!!!!!

We had a great camp week!!!

Mark and I decided to take Rayven, Joey, and Jake with us this year. It wasn't that bad either. Joey was very good the whole time. We didn't have a single problem with him. Rayven was a little trying at times, but that's normal I guess. Markie had a lot to do with that too, so I am sure she was no help, lol. But overall it was a great week. The only down side was when Ben snuck off to the nursery and smacked his head on the cement slab outside of the nursery cabin. A pastor brought him back to me with a towel on Ben's head. When I pulled the towel away, blood was running out. I had Jeff hurry up and get Mark (he was at the bathroom) and we took him to the ER. They just glued it since we were camping. It would help keep the dirt out, plus the stitches would of been too tramatizing for him. He was such a good little boy through it all, he got some McDonalds as a treat afterwards. So that was our only down side. Other than that, it was a great camp week, lol. (I say that because the first and second year we stayed out there, everytime you would pass the camp director he'd say "Hey, we're looking forward to a great camp week!" or "Hey, it's going to be a great camp week" or "We had a great camp week" LOL. We had lots of fun and got to hear a very great message the last day there (the last day for us anyways). The speaker was a woman and she had a good message about false teachings from the emergent church and how we humans will not become angels when we die. I thought it was great because not many people talk about those issues in the church. It was nice to have someone bring it up finally! For those of you who don't know what the emergent church is, it's a group of people who think the bible is OK, but not the standards for living ,they have no statement of faith, they don't have a biblical worldview (which is essential to being a christian, if you don't believe what the bible tells you, then you have no faith foundation to stand on). It was awesome to hear someone speak out about that. I hope we have lots of discerning Christians out there who will be able to spot this cult when they see it. Okay, off my soapbox now, lol.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading about our camping trip!

Water slide fun!!

The guy in charge of the children's church had a water slide set up for the young-ins. And they had a blast on it. I'd buy one for my kids if they weren't $300!!!!! Here's a little video of Ben and Markie going down the slide. Notice how Ben comes flying over the edge? That's because he can't climb the back himself, so Mark has to toss him up there, LOL.

Hammick Fun!!

I bought Mark and hammick for Father's day and he took it up to the cabin. It became a very coveted thing there. The kids loved to play on it. Jake and Joey fought over who gets to sleep in it at night. And many people were flipped on it (of course, wouldn't be a hammick without someone getting flipped).

The kids absolutely loved it. We had tons of kids playing on it almost everday. They would laugh, yell, sing church songs, and just have a good time. We were glad that the kids got joy out of it. Here are some pics and a video:

And here is when Mark was having some fun with Joey. Joey decided to sleep all night long on the hammick and while Mark was coming back from the bathroom he decided to lay some hay on Joey while he was sleeping. It was too funny!!! He finally woke up at 5am and noticed it all over him. Too bad we were sleeping to see that, LOL.

Our Cabin

Well, we got our cabin set up, sort of. We still have lots we'd like to do to it, but for now this is going to have to work. It was so much better having a place to stay in this year that was OURS. So much easier on the kids too. They all did really well there. Charlotte slept real good as usual, she didn't miss a beat. But the last night you could tell the kids were ready to go home and so was I. Here are some updated pics of the cabin:

I think it would go with the cabin look.Kitchen area. We plan on replacing the two counters with just one. And I want to cover those shelves so it doesn't look too cluttered.Dining room area. I made the blue window valance on the window to the right. I has stars on it in plaid. It's a patriotic theme. That's what I plan on doing the whole cabin in someday.Front door leading outsideMarkie in the back bedroom which Mark coined as the "Shipping Container" We plan on painting the walls eventually.
